Lou Adams, the Operations Director at Pip Hare Ocean Racing, holds a diverse background that
spans from healthcare to education to operations. Her journey is a remarkable blend of professional
expertise and personal dedication. Before her venture into the sailing world, Lou dedicated 20 years
to the NHS as a paediatric nurse and leader in major trauma centres. Her experience in managing
high-stress, high-stake environments was pivotal during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she led the
Emergency Department (A&E) of one of the UK’s largest major trauma centres.
