Prof. Liza Jachens

Deputy Course Director, MSc in Workplace Health & Wellbeing

University of Nottingham

I am a psychologist and assistant professor. I have a proven track record leading research and analysis of health and well-being for organisations, and identifying methods and opportunities to enhance the well-being and engagement of employees. I help develop intervention approaches to improve health outcomes and behaviours based on comprehensive evidence based research. Throughout my roles in several leading international Universities I have been able to undertake practical research in organisations. This has allowed me to develop excellent interpersonal skills and communicate effectively both in writing (organisational reports and journal articles) and verbally, particularly presenting results and trends at international conferences, large groups of employees and senior management. I enjoy working in an exciting and challenging environment where there is the opportunity to utilise my transferrable skills and experience. I am committed to achieving improved workplace wellbeing for all, and believe in an integrated evidenced based approach whereby both individuals and organisations have a duty of care to create a safe psychosocial working climate.
