Rachel Pears is the Head of Responsible Business and in-house Employment Counsel at RPC. She is responsible for driving RPC’s ESG portfolio including DEIB, charity, pro bono and health and wellbeing, working closely with the firm’s senior leadership to move the dial and continue to inspire engagement firmwide. The programme has gone from strength to strength and RPC was just awarded Responsible Business of the Year at the 2024 Women & Diversity in Law Awards. Rachel regularly speaks and writes on a variety of DEIB topics, drawing on her professional experience, equality law expertise as well as her personal experience as a carer. Rachel is a trained mental health first aider, co-founded the network for parents and carers of neurodivergent children for the insurance market and sits on the Development Board of SeeAbility, a charity supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and sight loss.
