Yulia O’Mahony

Yulia O’Mahony is the Global Head of Health & Resilience at Philip Morris International, a role she took up in 2021. Leading a small team, she operates in a complex matrix organisation, comprising 92 markets employing 50,000+ people. She sets the direction and strategy for employee wellbeing, develops, and deploys initiatives to create an environment for sustainable high performance as the company progresses towards smoke-free future. Since she joined the company, the PMI global wellbeing score improved by +15 points, and remains well above external benchmarks. She was part of the working group of the WBCSD report on Healthy People, Healthy Business. Previously, Yulia became John Lewis Partnership’s first ever Head of Wellbeing and D&I in 2017. In this role, she crafted a new aspirational vision for culture of wellbeing and inclusion, and piloted and rolled out several innovative solutions, working with tech startups, as well as charities such as Samaritans and Wellcome Trust. She has a wealth of experience in strategy, operations, and finance, having worked for leading consulting firms in UK, USA, and Europe, as well as holding commercial leadership roles in John Lewis Partnership. Yulia holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, PG Certificate (distinction) in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health from King’s College London.
